Our English-language Fashion Stylist degree programme covers a broad knowledge base of technical tools including photography, videos, materials, as well as concepts and key players of the fashion industry. It also helps students develop analytical and advanced process management skills. 

With a study plan covering such disciplines as art history, film and music, you will develop your portfolio of references and create a story about the collections that you will be working on, step by step on as you go along.  

The English-language Fashion Stylist degree programme at IED Milano is designed to train up future fashion professionals. In particular, we want to prepare stylists who will be responsible for the whole process of brand development, communication and promotion with all the different forms of creativity involved.

You will be working on real projects with partner companies of the IED network, where you will have the opportunity to test your skills as a Fashion Stylist. You will also learn how to describe new trends on the market as you create and present your own collections.

first year

On your first year, you will become familiar with some basic fashion-related disciplines. You will be studying history as applied to photography and fashion, along with psychology of form. All these subjects will contribute greatly to building your theory background. You will also learn about specific project design methods to effectively manage your creative flow and use this know-how as an asset in your projects.

second year

On your second year, you will go deeper into theory and other analytical subjects that will help you build up an extensive background of knowledge of the industry. You will also learn about the technical tools of photography and audiovisual productions for designing and creating photo and video shoots. And finally, you will focus on developing and enhancing your project design skills, working on specific projects in cooperation with our partner companies.

On your last year, besides studying other subjects to complete your education and training, you will be able to further develop your fashion styling design experience through your final dissertation project.
