From 1 to 4 April, the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site will don its finest clothes to host the 35th edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion. The most international event on the Spanish fashion show circuit will once again heavily feature IED talent. Three alumni from the Barcelona school — Glòria Lladó (EIKŌ AI), Eñaut Barruetabeña (EÑAUT) and Guillermo Justicia — and two from Madrid — Santi Mozas (Compte Spain) and Ernesto Naranjo — will hit the catwalk with their brands, showcasing their latest collections. So too will designer Juan Vidal, who combines his work as creative director of the firm that bears his name with teaching at IED Barcelona, where he is the director of fashion projects.

EIKŌ AI, the brand co-created by Glòria Lladó in 2018, is a women’s prêt-à-porter brand inspired by the colours of light, analogue warmth, and fantastic stories through an inclusive, cosmopolite, sensual and magic universe. Known in the media as “the designer of the prettiest kimonos on Instagram”, Lladó studied Fashion Design at IED Barcelona and, at the end of 2016, and after having worked in the fashion industry for over five years, she decided to take a step forward and create her own brand. Influenced by Japanese craftsmanship and attention to detail, she makes a return to 080 — where she is already a veteran — with a proposal that includes unique and delicate prints. Since her debut in 2018, she has had several runway shows, both in physical and digital format.
On this occasion, the ‘Gardener Mist’ collection will transport us to a veiled and enigmatic garden, where every corner reveals a unique story. Inspired by a surreal universe, the proposal captures the essence of this garden at its finest: from the work of the gardener who cares for it with devotion, to the exuberant life of flowers, plants and magical creatures. With satin fabrics, flowing materials, jacquards and transparencies that provide lightness and sophistication, and floral burn out effects that add depth and texture to the proposal, while the fluid cuts and delicate details reinforce the feeling of dreaminess.

A Basque designer based in Barcelona and winner of the Government of Catalonia’s National Award for Emerging Design, Eñaut Barruetabeña, is also a regular on this runway. A 2017 Fashion Design graduate from IED Barcelona, he has presented collections by his brand EÑAUT, founded in 2018, on several occasions, the last being in April 2024. Creations in which he pays a lot of attention to detail, pampers his patterns and is committed to an ethical and sustainable philosophy based on a minimalist aesthetic. His is a brand conceived for the modern man; one that cares about his image and is a lover of art and design.
In the case of his latest collection ‘Ecdisis’, he explores the conflictive relationship between the body, self-perception, and the social standards of beauty, establishing a bridge with his previous proposal by using the same silhouettes. This approach enables the visual identity and essence that characterise the brand to be maintained, while exploring new creative possibilities that reflect evolution and freshness, expanding the meaning of these forms and giving rise to a narrative in which the past and the future coexist in harmony.

080 will also exhibit the proposals of Guillermo Justicia, who completed the Master in Fashion Design at IED Barcelona — and who debuted just a year ago on this catwalk with a project that was the result of his master’s degree final project, ‘Mychorrizal’. In his third appearance, the young designer, who fuses art and fashion in his creations, fostering the connection with the natural environment, will transport us to the universe of ‘Void’, a conceptual collection that includes a wide variety of garments and fabrics. Among them are suits, coats, trench coats, dresses, shirts, and jumpers... and materials such as denim, tailoring wools, organza, tulle, linen, lace and twill, all of which are “dead stock”.

Juan Vidal, will also be present with ‘Me quiere, no no me quiere’ [He loves me, he loves me not]. The creative director of IED Barcelona’s final fashion collections, technical perfection, the study of feminine strength from the perspective of sensibility, and seduction, are constants in his work. In his latest proposal, plucking the petals of a daisy is a playful way of surrendering decisions to chance, and thus stripping away, petal by petal, the vulnerability that lays us bare, exposing our insecurities.
Pistils and petals, woodcut prints of a naked flower, washed silk satin and gabardine thus serve as the starting point for a journey between the linear and the undulating, the rigid and the fluid, the matte and the shiny, the masculine and the feminine. Caressing indecision and embracing it with a positive approach, as an opportunity to peel away the layers of ego in a saturated and bewildering society.

The programme of this key event on the international fashion show circuit also includes two designers who have graduated from IED Madrid:
It was there that Ernesto Naranjo began his training as a fashion designer, later continuing his learning journey at Central Saint Martins. In 2014, he won the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent Award, as well as being a finalist for the Who’s On Next Award in 2019, 2022 and 2024. In 2024, he was also a finalist for the Fashion Trust Arabia Awards.
At 080, he will present a collection that revisits the theatricality and glamour of the Ziegfeld Girls from a contemporary perspective, translating it into a refined and conceptual aesthetic. Silhouettes that flow between the dreamlike and the sculptural are materialised in an unexpected combination of materials, colours and fabrics, creating a collage of emotions and textures. Irony, surprise and visual attraction are the aim of the collection. The firm produces all its collections in the south of Spain, where it works with specialised artisans and dressmakers.
Ernesto Naranjo has worked at Maison Margiela under the guidance of its creative director, John Galliano, in the Artisanal and Prêt-à-Porter departments; at Balmain alongside Olivier Rousteing; and has created capsule collections for Lane Crawford Hong Kong. He founded his own brand in 2018.

Last but not least, Santi Mozas (alumnus of the Master in Fashion Communication at IED Madrid) is the name behind COMPTE SPAIN. This brand will land at 080 Barcelona with ‘OBJET TROUVÉ’, a collection that pays tribute to the capacity of objects to mark a before and after, transporting us to a universe where the unexpected comes to life. The collection reimagines feminine silhouettes with a bold and modern vision, while maintaining the hallmarks of the brand.
COMPTE SPAIN is a Spanish ready-to-wear fashion brand that conveys stories and creates fashion through them. The brand creates its collections based on the imaginary of tales and everything that is strictly related to them. In addition, its pieces are created in an artisanal and ethical way, with its collections 100% handmade in Spain and supporting local production and workshops.
