Why do we need a Film School today?

Piera Detassis – Editor at large Cinema & Entertainment, Hearst Italia
"I believe it’s valuable to offer training that teaches future filmmakers to observe the world attentively and be bold in telling its stories. A school that nurtures a broad and cross-disciplinary cultural background is essential for a new generation of creators capable of inventing new visual worlds."

Fabrizio Donvito – Co-founder of Indiana Production
"Because we need excellent training and a unique educational offering focused on practical experience with an international outlook."

Adriano Giannini – Actor and Voice Actor
"Because traditional education can sometimes fall short when it comes to the real experience of making a film. Because it’s important to create a shared vocabulary between future actors and future directors, so they learn how to communicate constructively towards the common goal: a successful film."

Paolo Mereghetti – Journalist and Film Critic
"Because there is a real hunger for film culture."

Silvio Soldini – Director
"Because we need a place dedicated to artistic training that starts from in-depth knowledge of cinema, through the analysis of films necessary to understand framing, camera movement, lighting, acting. Practice and teamwork are essential from the outset and are made easier by switching roles."

Paolo Sorrentino – Director
"Because you need to study films, learn how to watch them, how to read them—before making new ones. Because the relationship between director and actor is key. We need a practical school that puts students on set right from the beginning."
