In-person event
A space of contamination among disciplines, professionals, and students, to offer new perspectives on the complex contemporary scenarios that design is called to interpret today
On Tuesday, May 13th at 6 PM, the garden of IED's via San Quintino campus will transform into an open and multidisciplinary forum with Complex Realities, an event that transcends the boundaries of traditional talks to create a participative and engaging experience.
In an innovative format, five thematic tables will host students, professors, professionals, and curious minds in direct and informal dialogues on key themes reshaping the world of contemporary design and creativity:
Communication and AI
How visual and non-visual languages are changing, and the role of new technologies and artificial intelligence in creative and communicative processes.
Interaction Design
Experiences, interfaces, and relationships between people and technologies: how interactive design is redefining how we live, work, and navigate in the digital and physical worlds.
Interior Design
More conscious, sustainable spaces that resonate with people: how interior design is evolving in light of growing critical awareness and attention to environmental and social issues.
Social Ecological Design
Designing for collective well-being and the relationship between humans, environment, and society: an approach that centers on ecology and community dynamics.
Future Mobility
From urban transportation to managing global flows: how mobility forms evolve and the local and global implications of new movement and connection scenarios.
Each table will be facilitated by IED faculty and coordinators alongside industry experts, stimulating curiosity and opening new avenues for dialogue and reflection. Participants can freely move between tables, listen, ask questions, and engage in lively, informal conversations on current design and creativity-related topics.
Complex Realities aims to be a space where disciplines, professionals, and students converge, offering new perspectives on the complex contemporary scenarios that design is called upon to interpret today.
Following the event, a garden aperitif will provide an opportunity to continue conversations informally and learn more about the educational opportunities at IED Torino.
