Cultivate your passion and talent, learn to use strategic, creative and digital management tools to find your feet as a Marketing and Communication specialist in the fashion industry. This 3-year English-taught program in Fashion Marketing and Communication, with the option of a fourth year, opens the doors to an innovative, strategic and creative profession.

You’ll learn the ins and outs of fashion business management, proposing new solutions for a range of management areas: Marketing, Editorial, Trends, Retail, Styling, Content and Communication. Your work will include research, projects, creative concepts, visual and written languages, audiovisual production techniques and the latest software and technology.

Working professionals and lecturers with years of teaching experience will introduce you to the key concepts you need to turn creative talent into creative services on every level of the fashion industry.

The program includes master classes, work experience, workshops, visits to companies, museums, showrooms and art galleries.

This BA (Hons) in Fashion Marketing and Communication offers a unique international approach, a hallmark of the University of Westminster, a learning experience at IED and a living experience in Barcelona, one of the design capitals of the world.

Information to decide

This Fashion Marketing and Communication program is based on practice: in three years, or four if you choose the optional Work Placement Year, you’ll develop communication skills in different languages, a strategic vision, teamwork skills and a capacity for creative thinking and execution under the guidance of specialists working in various areas eager to pass on their experience.

This gives you the grounding you need to enter the professional world with an excellent theoretical background and the skills required to develop any kind of research strategy, concept or visualisation, presenting innovative ideas as projects.

The program, split into modules, gives you a panoramic understanding of the macro-universe that is the fashion world and the skills you need to apply, marketing and communication techniques to offer state-of-the-art solutions that meet the client’s expectations in a constantly evolving, competitive sector.

MAJOR PROJECT

What will you learn?

This course gives you the option to work for a year as a professional in the fashion industry, working with a company in a role that matches the academic requirements of this Module. The work placement year is supervised by the company and IED mentors, and you’ll present a specific project at the end of the year. This is an optional experience in a professional context during the course and is not considered work experience or an internship, so the BA is extended from three to four years and the Work Placement Year will be added to your credits and specified on your University of Westminster degree.
