Brands participate in the Master’s thesis session at IED Milan for the 2023/24 academic year.

In June, October, and December, IED Milano campus on Via Piranesi will host the thesis sessions for Master’s students from the 2023-24 academic year. Students in IED Milano’s Master’s programs will present projects, developed collaboratively in groups, to a panel of IED faculty and partner companies with whom they have worked in preparation for their thesis. Once again this year, IED Milano provides students with the opportunity to collaborate with various brands, allowing them to undertake projects directly aligned with real-world industry needs. Among the companies partnering with the Master’s programs this academic year are Inter FC, EY, Axpo Italia Spa, JT International Ploom, Falkenstainer Hotel Management S.r.l., Mediaset, and Società Italo Britannica L. Manetti-H. Roberts & C. p.A.

For the Master's program in Brand Communication, in partnership with Inter, students focused on defining a strong international positioning strategy for Inter FC, aimed at enhancing its status as a global cultural icon.

Master’s students in User Experience Design program collaborated with EY to conceptualize a banking app for users with intellectual and relational disabilities. This project aimed to explore the needs of this segment, identifying innovative directions to improve the existing app model and broaden its relevance for a wider audience.

In the Master's program in Creative Direction, students partnered with Axpo Italia Spa to design a communications plan for the Pulsee brand, aiming to position the brand as “top of mind” for younger generations.

In collaboration with JT International Ploom, students in Master's program in Event Management devised a dual-channel (online and offline) activation strategy to strengthen the three stages of the consumer funnel—Awareness, Acquisition, and Retention—for the launch of the Ploom X product.

For the Master's program in Interior Design, students worked with Falkenstainer Hotel Management S.r.l. to reimagine a glamping site, conceptualized as an interconnected network of communal areas fully integrated with the surrounding territory. The focus was on creating tailor-made touchpoints designed to engage and build customer loyalty.

Students in the Master's program in Graphic Design partnered with Mediaset to develop a design system for branding communications for Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo.

Finally, Master’s students in Digital Communication Strategy collaborated with Società Italo Britannica L. Manetti-H. Roberts & C. p.A. to reimagine the future of the Brioschi brand. Their goal was to recapture the hearts of young Italians and revitalize the digestive category. The project centers on a bold rebranding slated for 2025, aiming to create an authentic connection with young audiences and position Brioschi as a symbol of modernity and well-being in Italians’ everyday lives, leveraging its strong identity as a love brand.
