Sansoni: comedy as a tool for social and political reflection at the IED Milano workshop

Fabrizio and Federico Sansone, comedians who have conquered the web and television with their sharp humor and social themes, were guests at IED Milano for a workshop where they shared their experience and the values that led them to pursue a career in comedy. During the event, the Sansone brothers discussed their journey that brought them to become two of the most beloved figures in the Italian comedy scene.

Born in Palermo, Fabrizio and Federico decided to make the leap into the world of comedy in 2015, starting by publishing videos on YouTube. Thanks to their Sicilian accent and ironic performances, they quickly became well-known. Their ability to blend comedy with reflections on social and political issues struck a chord with an ever-growing audience, leading them to become prominent figures on television and in cinema. In 2018, they debuted with their first theater show and, in the following years, participated in successful programs like Striscia la Notizia and Avanti un altro.

During the workshop, in addition to discussing their career, the Sansone brothers addressed important topics such as the challenges of finding work in Southern Italy, societal issues, and the university world. They also shared details about their new film, E poi si vede, released in March 2025.

The visit of the Sansone brothers to IED Milano provided an opportunity for students to engage with two artists who, starting from the web, have managed to establish themselves on the national scene with talent, humor, and a strong social commitment.
