On 20 June, FREQUENZE (FREQUENCIES), an event open to the public dedicated to the Sound Design theses of three-year degree students, was held at the Teatro Arsenale in Milan.
The audience had the opportunity to witness four innovative performances:
- DANCE UNION: A project by Sergio Lanciotti (Sound Designer) and Francesco Pontecorvo (Fashion Stylist), directed by Gennaro Esposito, explored the intersection between the military world and contemporary subcultures. This live performance offered both an acoustic and visual experience, celebrating the union of different styles and influences.
- CHAMBER OF REFLECTION: Developed by Sound Designers Nicolò Canto and Romano Porcelli, in collaboration with Fashion Stylist students Bianca Righetto and Anita di Renzo, this audiovisual project addressed the complex territories of mental disorders through the language of Fashion Film. The performance simulates a psychedelic psychotherapy, inviting spectators to immerse themselves in the emotions and inner conflicts of the protagonists.
- NUOVA GRAMMATICA (NEW GRAMMAR): A project by Federico Bianchi and Silvia Cattaneo, which combines contemporary dance and sound in a single narrative experience. The performance explores the relationship between the dancer and the costume, symbolising a search for expressive freedom through movement.
- MODELLI SISTEMATICI (SYSTEMATIC MODELS): With music and visuals by Francesco Guida, this project analyses the concept of repetition, highlighting the cycle of romantic relationships. Each phase of the story is interpreted through sounds that reflect moods, creating a magnetic experience for listeners.
It is important to underline that the performances CHAMBER OF REFLECTION and DANCE UNION were realised in collaboration with the students from the Three-year Fashion Stylist Degree at IED Milano, highlighting the importance of creative interchange between artistic disciplines.
