In this course you’ll learn to master traditional craft techniques and processes, exploring skills whose continuity has been threatened by the passage of time. The main focus is on resignification, combining these techniques with the innovative technologies and materials that define contemporary design today.

The combination of traditional craft techniques and innovation redefines contemporary fashion, creating designs that meet the aesthetic and functional demands of today.
You’ll learn the basics of traditional artisanal techniques like embroidery, carding, knitting, fabric manipulation and craft printing processes. After mastering these skills you’ll learn how to give them new meaning by using them with innovative materials and exploring combinations with materials that have become time-tested classics. What’s more, you’ll learn to use the latest technologies and tools in these processes.
You’ll have everything you need to apply these experiences to fashion design, while considering the aesthetics, functionality and durability of your creations. We'll work on how to take this newfound knowledge and develop your own personal brand and strategies to make your mark in the industry.
Workshops, conferences, master classes and career guidance during the course give you first-hand experience in the fashion sector.
Graduates in Fashion Design, as well as other disciplines of design, the Fine Arts and Architecture, who want to further their professional career in the field of fashion, and specifically in the realms of craftwork and the luxury market.
You’ll acquire traditional craft techniques and use them with a contemporary approach, introducing innovation into the design processes by exploring new ways to use materials, introducing new materials to expand the aesthetic possibilities offered by each craft technique.
You’ll experiment and exceed the limits of each traditional technique, using modern technological tools to further the possibilities offered until now.
You’ll also develop an experimental, critical and open workflow, constantly exploring and questioning to challenge new frontiers.
And you’ll find and define your own aesthetic style, creating a unique and very personal visual identity. By doing so you’ll pave the way on your professional road to start collaborating with other designers and brands.
