The Minister of Education of the Government of Catalonia, Josep Gonzàlez-Cambray, visited the stand of IED Barcelona Design School during the opening of the Saló de l'Ensenyament education fair. This is the main annual event dedicated to educational offerings and guidance that brings together more than 200 exhibitors from universities, education centres and public and private academies at the Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc venue.
Gonzàlez-Cambray spoke with Andrea Marchesi, Director of the School, interested in its wide range of training in the field of design and the creative industries.
The Minister also toured the stand and saw some of the IED student projects exhibited on the occasion of the Saló firsthand. Among them were Blank Interface by alumnus Ivana Mulanovich, a proposal on the future of car racing in the year 2060, and Mar i Avisa, a men’s fashion design proposal by alumnus Marc Sanz, current finalist in the 38th edition of the Hyères Festival, which brings together influences from ‘70s Rock with reminiscences of the corsair invasions that shaped Ibiza’s history.
