From mind to paper. From words to stage. From theatre to museum. This is the journey that In the Beginning Everything Was White has gone through, a small-format opera that is now facing its last act with its arrival at the Disseny Hub Barcelona as part of the exhibition "Òh!pera (L’exposició)".
Created by IED Barcelona students for the 2nd edition of this initiative, promoted by the Gran Teatre del Liceu and Barcelona City Council’s Tourism and Creative Industries Department, it is one of eight works whose creation and staging processes can be seen in this exhibition.
An exhibition that uses videos, photographs, sketches, dresses, masks and props to reveal the inner workings of the different projects that have allowed young talents from various creative disciplines to come together in order to design new small-format operas.
The exhibition opened on 10 October and will run until 14 January 2024.
