Twenty third-year students from the Photography Bachelor’s Degree program at IED Torino will document screenings, events, and special initiatives of the 42nd edition of the Torino Film Festival with their photographs.
IED confirms its role as a cultural partner for the 42nd edition of the Torino Film Festival, organized by the Museo Nazionale del Cinema—Fondazione Maria Adriana Prolo, which will be held from Friday, November 22, to Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Since its inception, the festival has been renowned for its focus on emerging trends in cinema, supporting independent productions, debut and sophomore films, documentaries, and experimental works. Celebrating twelve years of collaboration, twenty third-year students from the Photography Bachelor’s Degree program at IED Torino will serve as official photographers for the festival. They will capture this edition's screenings, events, and special initiatives under the guidance of IED photographer and instructor Antonio La Grotta.
This opportunity allows the young photographers, enrolled in a program coordinated by photographer and photo editor Giulia Ticozzi, to apply the skills acquired during their studies while engaging with a significant international commission. It enhances their project management awareness and provides valuable on-field experience.
