Nine IED students from its Italian and Spanish schools presented their graduate fashion collections during the Final Gala Event

We partnered with Feeric Fashion Week participating in the new edition with a Graduate Fashion Show on July 20th in Sibiu. The collections presented reflect today’s diversity, all exploring what freedom means by researching new conscious materials and artisanal techniques and translating them into innovative garments.

“Multitude” is the title of the show chosen to reflect today’s multiple identities through the eyes of young talents experiencing the complexity and fragility of this extremely liquid period. The graduate collections showcase the designer’s knowledge and skills inspired by different topics, from workwear or military uniforms to fairytales, Louise Bourgeois or paintings by artist Ilya Repin. But all of them had one thing in common: a need for freedom, expressing themselves, and raising their voice through fashion.

Nine different visions, coming from the nine Italian and Spanish campuses of our network by Irene Morosini (IED Milano), Maria Antonietta Zoroddu (IED Cagliari), Annalisa Corvace (IED Firenze), Daniel Latini (IED Roma), Sandro Russo (IED Torino), Caterina Magni (Accademia Aldo Galli in Como), Ingrid Navarro (IED Barcelona), Paula Ramírez (IED Madrid), and Leire Movilla (IED Kunsthal – Bilbao).

Alessandro Pasini, IED Roma Sound Design student created the soundtrack of the fashion show.

In addition to the Graduate Show, we offered a full scholarship to Genghiz Beghim, from the University of Arts and Design of Cluj-Napoca, who presented his collection Retrographic. The young designer will participate in an IED Summer Course in Fashion Trend Forecasting and Styling held at IED Firenze in 2025. The two mentorships from IED and Feeric Fashion Week went to Vicko Racetin (University of Zagreb, Faculty of Textile Technology, Croatia) and Ana Farîma (Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, Romania), respectively.
