The Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda event was back and IED presented a new edition of the Future Starts Slow fashion show.

IED returned to Fashion Graduate Italia, the week of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda to promote the excellence of its associated Italian fashion schools. It did so with the FUTURE STARTS SLOW fashion show on Thursday 24 October at Base Milano (via Tortona 56).

IED's fashion show responded to the concept of the event EYES WIDE OPEN and brought to the catwalk a future that is born and grows slowly and finds its shape at the end of a path of evolution. The capsule collections for men, women and genderless represent the best of eight talented IED graduates in Fashion Design from the Group's Italian offices. The collections are a snapshot of the current state of fashion, a personal vision but filtered through the changes that take place in each individual's life.

At the centre of each project we always find the person: the garment is added to, accompanies the individual, dresses him, but the focus always remains his interiority. An invitation that is also open to the fashion system to slow down and follow the natural scanning of time, which sustainable production would require.

Within the event, IED was involved with further activities: portfolio reviews, workshops, a lecture and an area dedicated to the exhibition of projects from the Fashion School, useful for providing young graduating high school students interested in this sector with tools to orient themselves on the training system and professional outlets.
