Ex•Tĕrra has won one of the Foodture Sustainable Innovation Awards at the latest edition of Foodture Barcelona.
The Ex•Tĕrra project by IED Barcelona student Carolina Galeazzi of the Master in Sustainable Design and Social Impact has won one of the Foodture Sustainable Innovation Awards at the latest edition of Foodture Barcelona, the event promoting disruptive innovation in food design, food tech, social food and sustainability. The jury recognised the creativity of this proposal, which aims to find cutting-edge solutions to the challenges of the global food industry such as food waste.
Ex•Tĕrra makes it possible to take advantage of the agricultural waste of the Carxofa Prat (artichoke from El Prat), developing a new organic material that can be used in craft production, such as the fabrication of artichoke paper.
Carolina will receive an honourable mention and will participate in an Acceleration Day to drive her project forward with the help of experts and mentors.
