Alumni Roadshow in May: Como and Milan
The spirit of celebrating and sharing that animated the IED Alumni community during Milan Design Week is still alive in May with roadshows in two IED cities: Como and Milan.
On Friday, May 5 at 5:30 p.m., the Aldo Galli Academy in Como hosts the Alumni roadshow dedicated to the theme Cultural Heritage and Design with Alumni Paolo Aquilini, Director of the Como Silk Museum, Dodo Arslan, eclectic designer among the best 90 in the world according to Taschen, Pietro Cisani, visual artist and Francesca Montanari, Registrar for the Scuderie del Quirinale. Graduates and Alumni of the Como community will speak with the guests about the design and protection of cultural heritage in different fields: product, artwork, textile work, digital work.
The event will be followed by a networking cocktail in the garden.
On Thursday, May 11, at 7 p.m., however, the Alumni roadshow moves to Milan to the Spazio Teatro at IED Moda Milano, Via Pompeo Leoni 3, to address together with the Milanese community "the lesson of Design Week": multidisciplinary design and the power of creating connections with unexpected results.
Special guests of the event will be Alumni Gabriele Chiave, who's in charge - among other projects - with design and innovation for Estée Lauder Companies and who created the installation "The Domino Act " for Audi during the Milan Design Week; Matteo Congiu, product designer winner of the A'Design 2023 award; and Ginevra Franchi, designer co-founder of Cono Studio, an established Milan-based company.
