Proposal for the Virens Restaurant of the Hotel Almanac Barcelona inspired by nature. The students have designed an envelope of vertical wall coverings in a double-height space as if they were the trees that house each of the foods and vegetables that chef Rodrigo uses in his kitchen.
In the project, which seeks to offer an immersive experience for the diner, tones and shades ranging from green to earth, and a range of simple materials such as wood and clay, as well as porous textures to condition the acoustics of the premises, have been used. This choice of simple elements also connects with the idea of going back to the origins and manual work, something necessary to prepare the dishes in a restaurant.
