Shruti Umesh Chakke, a second-year student in Transdisciplinary Design, has consistently excelled in the esteemed 'International SDGs Design Awards' hosted by Kyushu University, Japan. Her achievements span multiple years, including notable wins in 2020, 2022, and 2023. Representing IED Torino in both 2022 and 2023, Shruti showcased two exceptional projects: "Bus of Opportunities" and "Cosmic Education," both aligned with SDG 4 on Quality Education.
Yearly, the competition is calling for entries for the SDGs Design International Awards focusing each year on a Sustainable Development Goal. They are looking for design ideas that combine the following four keywords and "Education" from around the world: "Culture", "Art”, "Design", and "Advanced Technology".
Her projects, Bus of Opportunities (Gold, 2022) and Cosmic Education (Bronze, 2023), are centered on SDG 4: Quality Education.
Cosmic Education transforms traditional learning with a transdisciplinary approach, while Bus of Opportunities revolutionizes rural education through mobility-based learning, fostering regional prosperity.
Cosmic Education

This innovative initiative harnessed the Cosmic Education concept alongside the Cosmic Toolkit, immersing students in nature-based courses, practical environments, and hands-on studies.
Bus of Opportunities
The "Bus of Opportunities" initiative, recognized with the Gold award in 2022, aimed to revolutionize education in rural areas such as Ladakh, India, through mobility-based learning for children.
