In recent years, all sectors have been increasingly focusing on the major themes of sustainability.
The Fashion System, in particular, is committed to reducing the environmental impact associated with production processes, offering viable alternatives, and promoting ethical practices.
Whether these are well-known brands or start-ups, a growing number of fashion companies are developing new approaches to design collections in innovative ways, contributing to a positive and necessary evolution of the industry while also achieving high creative results.. Designing garments while respecting the environment and people, or promoting the circular economy, is possible. But what are some of the most virtuous examples?
Patagonia: The Patagonia brand has been a pioneer in sustainable fashion. In 1993, it became the first company to produce fleece garments using recycled plastic bottles. Since then, it has continued to use recycled materials. In 2022, Founder Yvon Chouinard decided to allocate all of the company's voting stocks to the Patagonia Purpose Trust, created to protect the company's values.
