The IED participates in the next edition of the Dominican Republic Design Week (DWRD), a festival dedicated to design, art and culture where the achievements of the sector are shown and celebrated, as well as the future vision of Dominican design.
It will be present in different activities, including the three-day workshop "DesignED". Organized by ALADI, this workshop is aimed at students from different countries in the region that will address the challenge of the conception and design of the "Future Latin American City".
The workshop will be given by Óscar Pozuelos, strategic designer specialized in innovation and Alumnus of IED Milan and IED Madrid.
Óscar has extensive experience in the Creative Industries sector and focuses on leading projects that promote economic and social development through creativity, design, innovation and entrepreneurship. He is the creative director of Impact Entrepreneur, the world's largest global community of change agents dedicated to strengthening the impact ecosystem.
In addition, the IED will participate in a workshop open to the entire community of Dominican designers, where participants who are interested in being part of IED, will have the opportunity to learn about its academic offer at the offices in Spain and Italy.
They may also ask questions related to study plans, costs, scholarships, admission requirements, discounts and promotions, etc.

The DWRD will also host two well-known international events in the sector, such as LAFS and MECA.
The Latin American Fashion Summit (LAFS) is a platform that connects emerging designers and young Latin American entrepreneurs in the fashion industry. For its part, the Mercado Caribeño International Art Fair (MECA) seeks to integrate a wide variety of young artists and galleries and, consequently, create greater accessibility to the local art market.
