Students from the English-taught Communication Design Undergraduate Course recently had the opportunity to participate in outdoor lessons, exploring some of Milan's iconic locations. Among the highlights was a visit to the famous Bar Basso.
Bar Basso, located at Via Plinio 39, is a historic symbol of Milanese nightlife and a key spot during Milan Design Week. Founded in 1947, it is renowned for introducing the concept of the "aperitivo" to the general public and for creating the celebrated Negroni Sbagliato, a cocktail that replaces gin with sparkling wine. The bar attracts designers, artists, journalists, and locals, creating a unique environment that blends tradition and innovation.
During Design Week, Bar Basso becomes a hub for meetings and exchanges of ideas among design professionals from around the world. Its atmosphere, characterized by an eclectic mix of students, professionals, and creatives, along with its interiors featuring elegant chandeliers and wooden furnishings, makes this bar a must-visit for anyone in Milan.
This experience allowed students not only to get to know the city better but also to immerse themselves in local culture and traditions, enriching their educational journey with unique moments of encounter and exchange.
