We return to ModaLisboa with a look at the past to transform the future
From 6 to 9 March 2025, Modalisboa - the Portuguese Fashion Week will be held again, in collaboration with the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa. In this edition, our participation will include a talk, a fashion show of fashion graduates from the Italian and Spanish schools, and the awarding of a scholarship to one of the young talents from the Sangue Novo competition.

“CULTURAL CAPITAL: An industry under the influence” is the title of the talk in which Umberto Sannino, Head of Fashion School di IED Milano, will participate along Antonio Lettieri (Cabana Mad) and Mira Wanderlust (33 Magazine).
- March 7th – 8 pm @Pátio da Galé | SANGUE NOVO
The Sangue Novo competition, supported by Seaside, will be an opportunity to discover the creations of the last few months of the five finalists of the competition dedicated to young Portuguese designers. Representing IED in the jury will be Danilo Venturi, Director of IED Milan, and the winner will be awarded a scholarship for the Master in Fashion Brand Management at IED Firenze.

Winner of the first IED scholarship during the 2023 edition of Sangue Novo, Inés Barrêto returns to ModaLisboa to present the collection designed during the Master in Fashion Design at IED Milan. The collection, entitled DESASSOSSEGO, is inspired by the book of the same name by Fernando Pessoa.

‘Nostalgia for the future’ explores the feeling of nostalgia for an unknown future, evoking the desire for experiences and moments that only exist in the imagination. This apparent contradiction translates into an aspiration for styles and trends that could emerge, as well as an aesthetic that reflects a better and bolder future. Fashion is a constantly evolving system, and in this fashion show becomes the medium for exploring nostalgia.
