Fashion accessory design requires a mix of inspiration and know-how and in this program you’ll explore your own individual style to the full, creating breath-taking accessories, a projection of the designer’s creative identity and essence

Using in-depth knowledge and an analysis of the trends, styles and aesthetic codes of the past, present and future, you’ll not only be able to respond to the future needs of the fashion market, you’ll be setting the trend in an industry that’s as dynamic and complex as it is exciting. You’ll acquire all the theoretical and cultural foundations you need to stand out in an international market that’s constantly searching for designers with their own distinct creative personality.

You’ll create not one but many projects, to become highly skilled in concept development and implementation. You’ll also discover how to use and mix traditional techniques and innovative tools, combining time-tested craftsmanship with the latest state-of-the-art technology.

There are 60 places available for first-year students majoring in Fashion Design. Of these places, there is no specific number assigned by pathway or language.

Information to decide

Combine a theoretical and cultural background with the creation and implementation of projects from day one, in a multicultural learning environment in Barcelona, a hotbed of creative talent.

The program is divided into modules of various complementary subjects, so you can concentrate on one project at a time. This helps you improve your concept development and implementation skills.

In this program you’ll learn to anticipate trends and identify new industry needs, using both traditional and innovative techniques.

The syllabus is based mainly on a hands-on approach, in the form of experimental projects. Put what you learn into practice in extraordinary workshops using a variety of different tools and processes. You can also produce digital or 3D prints in the Hybrid Lab, and organise photo shoots at the Medialab.

If you have a deep-rooted interest in the world of fashion, aesthetics and creativity, this is the program for you.

You’ll learn to design a variety of articles and collections, ranging from footwear to headwear, leather goods to jewellery and textile accessories.

The program encourages you to bring your ideas to life, creating designs that strike a balance between fashion and function, in your own inimitable style.

Respect for your own unique creative identity and aesthetic style is a constant throughout the program, as is individual progress monitoring to further your academic development.

Our main objective is to give you everything you need to create your own individual style, a creative identity that stands out from the international crowd in an increasingly complex sector, giving your creative talent free rein to reach new heights.

You’ll be working with lecturers who have extensive professional and academic experience and this is what makes us one of the best design schools in the world, with our graduates well-received by companies working in the sector.

The hands-on approach of this IED program helps you internalise the knowledge acquired in the most effective way, gaining the confidence you need to take your first steps in the working world.
