A collection that explores the theme of adversity in life represented in the garments created. The student establishes a connection between the difficult experiences his brother went through and the figure of Judy Garland, and evokes a conversation between their lifestyles. Both never give up and continue trying to see the bright side of life, “the yellow brick road”.
With references to the architecture of Chicago — where Elbers saw his brother physically for the last time — the collection presents a colour palette in red, pink, green, yellow and orange tones. The fabric chart evokes the hardness of the project through lambskin and suede.
