Harvest is a system designed to monitor climatic conditions and support farmers and insurance companies in managing risks related to extreme events.

In recent decades, climate change has emerged as one of the most urgent challenges of our time. This global phenomenon has profound effects, with repercussions extending far beyond the environment, influencing the economy, society, and, in particular, the agricultural sector.

From this analysis, Harvest was born a system based on Raspberry Pi 4 and AWS to monitor agriculture and support farmers and insurers. The system aims to collect data from sensors (NPK, humidity, temperature, wind, rainfall, hail) and use the Algorand blockchain to ensure the immutability of critical data. In the case of extreme weather events, it creates certified NFTs to document damage, helping farmers obtain compensation and insurance.

The Harvest Finance platform integrates the collected data to show insurers the risk level of agricultural businesses, improving policy management and future cost planning. The entire system is automated and aims to optimize resource use and risk management.
