Capsule collection committed to the circular economy and waste reduction, composed of espadrilles and bags made with recycled and recovered materials

The student presents a capsule collection, to be launched in April 2027, for the family company Castañer. It consists of espadrilles and bags made almost entirely from recycled and recovered materials, such as scraps from previous production cycles and rubber soles from used espadrilles.

An innovative proposal in line with the brand’s commitment to the circular economy and waste reduction, integrating sustainability as a fundamental pillar of its identity, and not just an added value.

The collection is part of the Circular Craft project, which seeks not only to improve the brand’s environmental profile but also to redefine its connection with its consumers, standing out in a market that is increasingly aware of environmental challenges.

In collaboration with the Save The Med Foundation, a portion of the collection’s profits will be devoted to the conservation of the Mediterranean ecosystem, strengthening the brand’s connection with the natural environment.

A pilot project to evaluate market response and explore the potential scalability of this sustainability strategy.
