After presenting her final degree thesis ‘Daka Archive’ on 26 September at Brut! 2024, the Motion Graphics and Video IED Barcelona alumnus Lia Ferreiro will go to Blanc! festival (Vilanova i la Geltrú, Barcelona, from 24 to 26 October).
‘Daka Archive’ — an immersive digital archiving experience that compiles Taino culture and history through 3D animations, narration and archival techniques — continues to bring her success, capturing the attention of the design industry.
Proclaimed Best Thesis from the School of Visual Arts at IED Barcelona in June, in Brut! she competed against 26 other works of graphic design and other creative disciplines from 10 design schools. Among them, two proposals from students who also graduated from IED Barcelona:
‘Wasiy, Echoes of Inca Symbols’ by Graphic Design alumnus Laura Valdez, an interactive game book that immerses the participant in the world of Inca symbology.
And ‘Tangible Translation’, a project focused on visually demonstrating the way in which AI understands the world around it, by Camila Kotliarsky, also a Graphic Design graduate.
The three alumni defended their theses across two different sessions before the auditorium of the Disseny Hub Barcelona and a professional jury that ended up granting Ferreiro a pass for Blanc! Her conference will take place on Saturday 26 October, in the Campus Blanc! section.
Congratulations to all three alumni!
