Conceptual dresses and artistic sculptures at the exTeatro dell'Oriuolo in Florence by Michel Comte
On the occasion of Pitti Uomo, Michel Comte, contemporary artist and one of the most important fashion photographers, accepted the invitation to mentor a group of IED students selected from the Group's eleven locations in Italy, Spain and Brazil to design Identity, the installation to be presented on 12 June at the Ex Teatro dell'Oriuolo in Florence.
The Identity installation was born from a reflection on the theme of identity, in an attempt to understand how to represent who we are through what we wear. Especially in today's times when electronic devices have overtaken fashion in terms of desirability.
The exhibition will be on display in the interior space of the Oriuolo theatre as well as in the gardens for one day only, combining conceptual clothing with artistic sculptures.
The projects exhibited are:

- Venus of Things multi-material sculpture by Leonardo Fizialetti - IED Rome
- A Passo d'Uomo sensory installation by Eleonora Gentile - IED Turin
- Masculinity in Bloom installation and capsule collection of menswear by Ana Montesa Lopez - IED Madrid
- Metagnize capsule collection of no-gender clothes and live performance by Anastasia Pandelli - IED Cagliari
- IO video and outfits by Sabrina Salem - IED Milan
- Ether capsule collection of versatile one-piece clothing by Giovanni Toniolo - IED Florence
