Fashion Graduate Italia, the first and only free fashion week open to the city of Milan.
IED returned to Fashion Graduate Italia and presented FUTURE STARTS SLOW 2022 on
November 4 at BASE Milano.
IED participated to Fashion Graduate Italia, the first and only free fashion week open to the city of Milan, organized by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda Ente del Terzo Settore (ETS), a hub that brings together the best Italian post-diploma training institutions and academies in the fashion sector.
With this fashion show, the runway once again saw a theme of the birth and development of a slower-paced future, one that finds its form after a process of evolution.
A concept meant to extend to the fashion system as well, an invitation to slow down and follow the natural rhythms that sustainable production requires.
Men, women, and genderless capsule collections represented the eleven talented IED graduates in Fashion Design from all IED Italian campuses.
Students involved were Niccolò Artibani with Dressmaking Surgery, Carolina Aru with ūnus, Lorenzo Attanasio with Collateral Beauty, Alessandro Bonini con PER_SON_A, Gaia Ceglie with Deformiter, Riccardo Cotta and Matteo Majorana with Helter Kobayashi, Luca De Prà with Dividit, Alessandra Gasparroni with Claustrophobia, Giovanni Marchetti with Let mespleep, and Maria Eleonora Pignata with Akhet.
As part of the Milan event, organized by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, IED also took part in other activities scheduled for 3rd to 5th November 2022, including exhibition space, portfolio review, workshops and job placement. Diverse moments united by a single mission: to help connect the education system and the sector industry, develop competitive professional skills, and bring innovation to the fashion system.
