Morigin Project is the thesis - startup project developed by the students Teresa Colombo, Francesca Pedrotti and Alessandro Maggioni, which aims to improve the conditions of underdeveloped countries in an innovative and sustainable way, through local resources.

The starting point of this project is the Moringa Oleifera, also known as the "miracle tree", a local plant that resists extreme drought conditions and has extraordinary nutritional properties (a SuperFood for FAO), but not only: it has great capacity to purify water through its seeds.

The project aims to start a sustainable agriculture system of Moringa Oleifera trees, managed by local worker cooperatives, which will be able to expand their business. In addition to offering new jobs, it will be possible to take advantage of the harvest to purify contaminated water and enrich the local diet. Part of the harvest will be set aside to be sold on the European market. This trade system will follow the FairTrade certification standards, in order to protect the cooperatives and villages involved during the whole chain.
