Marila Gambini, Co-owner of Tessitura Stamperia Luigi Verga, welcomed the students of the Master Program in Fashion Design - Haute Couture to the company in Como

Tessitura Stamperia Luigi Verga, an excellence in the Made in Italy luxury sector, involved the students of the Master Program in Fashion Design - Haute Couture from IED Milano in a hands-on experience that allowed them to collaborate with the company’s master artisans, experimenting with hand-painted fabric techniques and creating artwork together. This project enabled them to immerse themselves in the Comasco tradition and the high-quality techniques that define Verga’s fabric production.

Founded in 1940 by Luigi Verga, the company is now run by his daughters Adriana and Maria Stella Verga, who continue with pride and passion a tradition that has made the Comasco textile industry famous worldwide. Tessitura Stamperia Luigi Verga is synonymous with innovation and craftsmanship, with a constant commitment to researching the best weaving, printing, and finishing techniques.

Over the years, the company has continued to evolve while maintaining a strong connection to the territory and Made in Italy values. Despite the challenges of globalization, it has chosen to keep production in Italy, constantly investing in advanced technologies and staff training, with the goal of ensuring an exclusive and sustainable product. Today, Tessitura Stamperia Luigi Verga stands out not only for the excellence of its fabrics but also for its focus on sustainability and traceability, pursuing responsible practices that reduce environmental impact.
