This project by the Graphic Design graduate Josu Ávila highlights the role of the contemporary designer who, in today’s world, rather than creating the work, creates the language that forms it. ‘Super—Nature’ combines digital and physical technologies, using algorithms that analyse music to generate graphic patterns that can be adapted to different formats and design techniques. In this way, it offers a wide range of possibilities to materialise music in different media such as paper or textiles.
The tool, available here, integrates elements, traditional ingredients such as shapes and colours, and contemporary principles such as collaboration and sustainability, forming an expandable and adaptable system.
