Interior design of a clothing store with a terracotta-colored metal mesh ceiling and a line that unifies the entire perimeter IED Barcelona

The concepts of contrast and connection articulate the design of this proposal for a clothing store for all audiences

The evolution of the Springfield brand, originally focused solely on menswear, but now also offering women’s collections and a children’s line, is reflected in the design of this store, inspired by the concepts of contrast and connection.

The student proposes bold colour schemes for the men’s section and softer tones for the women’s section, unifying the entire perimeter of the store with a bright terracotta line that creates a continuous flow throughout the space. The ceiling is another unifying feature: made of metal mesh and finished in the same terracotta color.

As for the children’s section, it seeks to be vibrant and interactive. It includes a play area (6 m2) that encourages customer retention for longer periods of time, as it allows families to shop freely while keeping their children close and in sight.

The project also emphasises cost-effective and efficient implementation, with minimal adjustments to the design. Custom furniture can be pre-fabricated, ensuring quick, space-efficient upgrades.
