Rome in black & white
A mode that is back in vogue, even among many important photographers and artists. Student Federico Vinci's project, as part of lecturer Massimo Siragusa's Photographic Documentation lessons, builds on these assumptions. And, of course, Rome, from its best-known views: a revisiting of the Eternal City by night, full of chiaroscuro and sharp lights that pierce the darkness, of suggestions that only photography produced in the darkroom can render.
