“Punti di Vista” proposes an analysis of the path, the collections and the reading perspectives of the artworks, as well as the communication system and the cultural significance of the MAO, with the aim of offering innovative solutions to improve the visitor experience.
After an initial observation involving the structure of the museum, some of its employees and the way in which visitors use the museum, the group of master's students in Innovation and Digital Production for Culture designed a prototype web app. This application can engage the visitor in a multisensory experience, providing new innovative and integrative approaches to narrate the works and content on display.
The four experiences proposed are: "Storie del MAO", A multi-voice narrative created with input from the venue staff; "Viaggi al MAO", an interactive audio guide on Buddhism; "Note nuove", a musical experience to be lived while visiting the MAO; and finally "Cambia prospettiva", which focuses on the details of the artefacts on display at the MAO through a kaleidoscope, offering a unique and fascinating view.
The Digital Innovation and Production for Culture project aims to analyze the route, the collections and the reading perspectives of the MAO Museum of Oriental Art in Turin to provide new ideas and prototypes of multi-lingual and multi-channel narration to enhance the works and the public's experience in the museum.
