A short film that uses the technique of animated painting to tell the story of a man who lives a purposeless, empty and barren life.

The aim of Neil -quand une personne n'est personne- is to show the existential drama of a protagonist with no answers, at times insane and at times understandable to everyone, with choices that are questionable but not without logic. The emptiness of those who feel no love, of those who see nothing special in themselves or in others, fated to live in an emotional desert that we may all suffer sooner or later. Neil witnesses an assault and does not move a finger, Neil makes love to a woman who could be a thousand other women, Neil wanders through a city he feels is teeming with nothing, Neil is always on the move but for no reason, like the sands of the desert. Neil's life traverses the streets of an urban fabric of brushstrokes and moments of suspension that evoke the directorial atmospheres of Wong Kar Wai and the visual style of Gianluigi Toccafondo, reinterpreted in an intimate and sentimental manner.
