The Suzuki Maru is a versatile mobility solution designed for young, active customers. Its modular design allows for customization through both exterior accessories and a dynamic interior layout, adapting to diverse needs and scenarios. It encourages sharing experiences and connecting with others, both inside and outside the vehicle, through an inviting design and the ability to share stored electric energy.
The Maru accommodates various accessories and configurations, from cargo and battery packs to foldable tents, and its interior layout is fully adjustable for different uses, whether for work, leisure, or increased cargo space.
With its crossover capabilities, the Maru offers freedom beyond urban settings, enabling exploration of rural areas and providing a break from the digital world. It embodies flexibility, connection, and freedom, meeting the diverse demands of modern urban explorers.
With the advent of electric vehicles and the adoption of increasingly stringent regulations on batteries, size, and weight, the automotive industry is undergoing a major transformation. For this reason, Suzuki challenged Transportation Design students to design a compact, eco-friendly city car that would appeal to younger generations. The response was a Japanese-inspired K-car for the European market, combining innovation with the latest trends in the automotive industry.
