Academic year

2023/2024

The students of the Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, in collaboration with CICAP, worked on the realization of the LEAKS project.

It's a board game where players take on the roles of major tech companies with the goal of exploiting data and making money. The objectives of the game are:

  • Raise awareness about the issue of data privacy.
  • Make players understand that data exploitation can influence the masses.
  • Spark curiosity and promote awareness.

Players assume the roles of the "villains," offering a new perspective on the problem. Tech companies collect an enormous amount of user data and thrive on exploiting this data. The inspiration for the game comes from the imagery in George Orwell's novel "1984."

In this board game, centered around privacy and data, participants play as predatory companies whose goal is to collect as much sensitive information as possible and earn more than everyone else, while avoiding lawsuits and unforeseen events.
