The thesis projesct of Emma Baroni is a genderless collection that embraces the theme of memories related to one's place of birth. It focuses on that set of past impressions imprinted in the memory and the body, which can manifest themselves on an ordinary day and materialise once more in all their purity through a smell, the touch of a surface, a rediscovered object.
She draws her inspiration from the villages and mountains of Trentino, places of nature, authenticity, simplicity and craftsmanship. The senses are stimulated by the use of fabrics and textile processing that emphasise the materiality of the garments, which become traces of a journey of sensations and recollections. The soft volumes and the inclination towards knitwear and warm fabrics such as wool cloth or the wool jersey pursue the collection's main objective: comfort, warmth, embrace, aimed at transmitting the feeling of wearing one's childhood place and carrying the objects closest to one's heart.
