The Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli is the largest hospital in Rome, receiving approximately ten thousand patients a day.

Harmonia aims to design a welcoming, reassuring and comfortable environment in one of its wards, Gynaecological Oncology, with the aim of improving the experience of patients, family members and medical staff and creating a space that promotes well-being and reduces the stress associated with medical treatment. The project focuses on five spaces: the atrium, two corridors, the heart of the gynaecological oncology ward and two of its rooms. The entire work develops around the concept of nature and the relationship that human beings have with the natural environment. The imposing reception desk in the atrium, which greets those entering, remains suspended between the outdoor and indoor landscape, the first corridor is transformed into a winter garden, while the second corridor has a greenhouse incorporated. The load-bearing structure of the Polyclinic's Gynaecological Oncology unit is transformed by beech-wood planks, which cover it until it disappears, and in the rooms, decorated with comfortable furnishings and design features, there is a large window with a view to the outside.
