Groovery was created to identify and design robots that can facilitate the evolution of human activities through the use of advanced technologies. In particular, the project envisaged solutions for operation in the areas of delivery and home shopping. Considering that the trend for online shopping is on the rise, and that this diminishes the work quality of the on-site operator who is under increasing stress, the students developed two robots that prepare and deliver the order almost autonomously, with human supervision. Their names are Mike and Boby and they help to reduce the workload, thereby enabling the emergence of new professional figures, such as the delivery manager who supervises the work of the robots. Groovery uses an app to order and monitor the robot as well as retrieve products.
