"Deliverage" is a mixed-media animated short film that tells the story of G, a young female cyclist who experiences her anger and frustration in a rainy Milan. While completing an evening delivery, G gets involved in an accident, falling onto the wet asphalt. Holding back her tears, she embarks on a journey through her memories, reliving her experiences from her first bike fall to her life as a rider.
Born out of the urgency to tell often overlooked stories, the short explores a spiral of increasingly frustrating situations that fuel G's anger until it explodes. "Deliverage" aims to provoke reflection on the current condition of an invisible generation, represented by G, a symbol of precarious workers, especially women and immigrants, without any help or protection. Like many others, G silently accepts her dignity being trampled, with no control over her own life.
G embodies the seed of righteous anger, an anger that culminates in healthy violence, exercised from below, with the goal of dismantling and rebuilding an unjust system.
The short film is created using mixed media, with digital collage backgrounds, texture applications, 2D hand-drawn animation, and 3D and 2D props animated on Toonboom Harmony. The post-production was done using Adobe After Effects, giving the project a unique and immersive visual look.
