Closing The Loop is the thesis project of Paola Cavallier. Through her final project of the Jewellery Design Degree, Paola manages to capture the attention placed in this historical period, environmental and recycling issues.
Circular design becomes the watchword. Waste materials are being considered as living things in a study exploring the impact of waste on the creative process. This awareness inspired the young designer and pushed her to explore with metallurgical waste from her hometown. Through this approach, the thesis project has demonstrated how discarded materials can be transformed into innovative and unexpected jewels, promoting a sustainable and environmentally responsible design practice.
