BMX explores the customs and manners of two seemingly disparate places, a Spanish village and the Bronx in New York.

What do the Bronx and La Ossa de Montiel have in common? This is the question that serves as a starting point to explore the diversity and shared details related to the costumbrismo of two places of special significance to Aroa Mora, Fashion Design graduate from IED Kunsthal Bilbao.

 

At the intersection of two seemingly disparate worlds, this Final Degree Project immerses itself in the legacy of both cultures, with the aim of creating a unique fusion between the urban and the ancestral. ‘BXM’ is a testament to how these influences intertwine, enrich each other, and give rise to an exceptional visual expression.
