The aim was to utilize the production technologies covered during the course, such as CNC milling machines, laser cutting, silicone casting, and various 3D printers including filament, sintering, and powder printers, and to present an electronic interaction using the Arduino programmable platform.
BILLY is a prototype created by Mattia Gerardi, Luca Pagliero, Alice Paleari, Carlo Meda, and Greta Sormani. The concept is inspired by billiards, with the goal of creating a small-scale game that can also entertain older players. The challenge was to transform this concept into a compact game. The game operates through two rotating knobs located on the sides, which tilt the playing surface on two axes when turned. The player's objective is to guide the ball into the hole, which lights up automatically. When the ball lands in the correct hole, it lights up green, and the game indicates the next hole to target. The match continues until one of the two players reaches 7 points.
