The immersive exhibition "ATTESA - UN FILO LUNGO 500 ORE" offers visitors a unique sensory experience, inviting them to explore and reflect on the concept of waiting through the ancient art of tapestry weaving from the Scassa manufactory. In a social context dominated by speed and impatience, the exhibition serves as a critique of the frenzy of modern life and an invitation to rediscover the beauty of slowness and contemplation.
The project transforms the artisanal practice of weaving into a powerful metaphor for waiting, with tapestries, due to their complexity and the time required for their creation, symbolizing a process that stands in contrast to the speed and superficiality of contemporary living.
The aim is to highlight the value of time and the depth of waiting, fostering a new awareness of the rhythm of our daily existence.
The thesis project in Illustration and Graphic Design aims to communicate the heritage, collections, and material knowledge of the Scassa Tapestry Factory by rediscovering its company archive. Visual design plays a crucial role in making these themes accessible and engaging for a young and non-specialized audience, while craftsmanship brings to light paradoxical themes for contemporary times, such as the importance of process, slow rhythms, and the connection between hand and mind.
