“Archivi di Memoria” is a project that celebrates the value of preservation and collective memory through the collection and exhibition of objects and books donated by the Turin community. The initiative aims to transform libraries into custodians of local memory, providing an open and inclusive space for sharing personal and collective stories, in line with the mission of Turin's Civic Libraries to preserve and enhance cultural heritage for all citizens. By involving families, students and citizens, the project creates a living archive that reflects the diversity and richness of the community.
Through a selection of objects, photographs and audio recordings, “Archivi di Memoria” offers an immersive experience that allows visitors to emotionally connect with the past and understand the value of preservation for future generations. Inspired by the work of artist On Kawara, the project emphasizes the importance of documenting time and collective identity, transforming libraries into places of encounter, dialogue and cultural growth. Through this project, Turin's Civic Libraries are strengthened as intergenerational sharing spaces that can preserve local cultural heritage and promote a sense of belonging among citizens.
The project in Innovation and Digital Production for Culture proposes to explore new tools and approaches to storytelling in libraries, using digital to engage audiences. A reflection on target audiences and communication goals to define content and engagement mechanisms, such as gamification, to be integrated into digital content production.
