The new multimedia project dedicated to Alan Turing comes to life starting from the gears of his famous Bombe machine, moving through binary and computational language. The visual journey unfolds through the structuring of computer schemes, referencing Turing's pioneering research, which becomes the foundation for patterns in morphogenesis.
These patterns, in continuous metamorphosis, not only represent formal diversity but also symbolize personal transformation and the redefinition of gender identity. The metamorphosis, inspired by Turing’s biography, extends into a conceptual representation of gender freedom as a constant evolution.
The layout created to tell Turing’s story is organic, integrating parts of his biography and the fields of research that made him a fundamental figure in computer science. Aesthetically, the layout evokes one of Turing’s patterns and neural networks, connecting to the cybernetic imagination.
Archival images from World War II form the initial backdrop, which gradually transforms into geometric and graphic animations introducing the Enigma theme. These animations, growing in complexity, evolve into a representation of the Bombe machine.
