AALTO - Aino, Alvar, Elissa: the human dimension of the project

The exhibition tells the story of the studio, which has always sought to highlight the close relationship between design and architecture. When conceiving the exhibition, special emphasis was placed on the “lighting focus”, examining some of the most iconic lamps from Artek: a Finnish design furniture company founded by architect Alvar Aalto. To make the visitor experience more engaging, the project proposes the integration of an interactive installation within the museum layout. Specifically, the public has the opportunity to turn on the lamps on display and discover which architectural structure they were designed for thanks to a light projection that appears to originate from the lamp itself.
