On 22 October, within the framework of the activities of Barcelona Design Week, the workshop ‘Taking care of water. Strategic Design and Innovation’ will be held at IED Barcelona, an Associated Venue of the city’s design week.
This is a co-creation laboratory that will bring together actors and citizens to address the challenge of water from the design perspective, using a socio-material framework that spans everything from everyday objects, places and services, to systems, and even systems of systems.
Led by the expert in innovation and future thinking, IED Barcelona teacher John V. Wilkshire, and with the assistance of three facilitators, participants will be able to agree on specific points of intervention to foster the necessary changes for the future with regard to this resource.
The session will begin at 4 pm at the Point One facilities. It will also draw on material from the last two editions of the IED Barcelona Innovation and Future Thinking
Summer Course, where the critical issue of the future of water played a central role.
